500 days of summer is the type wonderful charming indie romantic comedy that give you a butterfly when you watch it. Tom, a greeting card copywriter who believed in love, fate and destiny. Summer is the he fall in love with who doesn't believe in such fantastical concepts. The film begins with a warning that 'This is story of boy meets girl, but this is not a love story', which is partly a lie. The film takes place during the 500 days of their 'relationship', but is told out of order using an in-genius fragmented framing device. The film begins not with how Tom and Summer met, but their break up. A break up which totally devastates Tom and throws him into a deep depression. He keeps thinking back to their 500 days 'together' to try to figure out where things went wrong.
For the first time I watch this movie, I don't think this movie doesn't have any moral value. But sincerely, this movie has a lot of moral value that we have to learn such as the person that you love is not always love you back. Difficult to get something or someone that you want to get it, like Tom.
In this story the character that I like most is the main character was Tom. He has been through many obstacle in love for the people he love. Beside that, he still try to get up after fall down. He really work harder to get his spirit back and to achieve his ambition.
The conclusion is when we want something or someone we must try to get it although is very hard to get or impossible. If we fail to get what we want, don't give up easily.
It's a gimmicky conceit, but it plays out in all the ways you tend to remember things whenever your reeling from a disastrous a barrage of great memories butting up against the later awfulness. It feels urgent and raw.
